Amanda Bossard graduated from high school in the year 1992, and started her studies in marine science at the Alaska Pacific University, Anchorage. Bossard began her profession as a seafood commercial worker in 1999. Bossard began working with the ship F/V Sunset which was a 65' halibut schooner which was converted into a tender for salmon for Murat Aritan. She was employed in commercial fishing since 1993. Bossard was married to Aritan in 1999 and the couple have teamed up to fight for their business. They're both supporters of conservatism and lucrative renewable resources for seafood management. Otolith was founded in Philadelphia in the year 2000 by Bella Bossard who is now mother to two kids aged 3 and 1, Bossard. Her husband and she are separated by 5 months plus more to allow her to focus on her finances as well as her environmental goals. As of July 2016 Bossard as well as her daughters Isabella aged 12 and Andre age 10 Andre age 10 are back in Southeast Alaska annually each summer to work as deckhands throughout the summer wild salmon harvest. A small 42-salmon troller, using hooks and line for catching their desired salmon, they join Aritan for two months, selling to local processors, and then continuing to increase their direct market seafood offerings sold by Otolith Sustainable Seafood by way by purchasing custom processing capabilities of small processors in order to produce unique wild seafood products that reflect their dedication to quality and the environment. Amanda Bossard was hired as anchor for News 12/MMJ and News 12 Anchor/MMJ and News 12 Brooklyn in November 2015.
